Problem..problem..

The problem(s) is/are?

English is the second language but majorly use throughout sectors including academics field in our country.

I’m not saying that I’m good or an expert but based on my experiences and observations, Malays (MELAYU) struggles real hard with this language..i admit that I’m worst when it’s come to grammar and sometimes I have problems with the vocab and pronunciations but this is a normal situation. Even though, I was born as a Malay; there are certain parts of Bahasa Melayu that I found it’s difficult to understand especially when it comes to the poetry/literature part with all the bombastic words. but we still found it easy when we end up those chapter. (I love to discover the unique of our language)
Do you get what i'm trying to say? everything are difficult at the beginning and end up not as hard as before..

The Malays keep avoiding people which apply English in their daily conversation..clearly seen when in the English class or met with the tourist (not including Malaysian). Here some tips to cope with (I learn from my parents and teachers):

Self esteem/confident level >>> maximum

Chew the language..haha

Listen to songs (best ways----love it)

BEFF ( best educational friend forever ) >>> dictionary (the oxford, longman, dewan bahasa,etc)

Books : novels, magazine, newspaper, ….. your notes; your lecture notes

Make it interesting

Speak out loud >> ignore about the grammatical errors..be brave..Mr Google can helps you with the pronunciations just let him know which accent do you prefer..

Get helps from your lecturers, or attend an additional classes

Practice with your colleague/comrade, family and your partner

If you found out someone make fun of you just because your accent a little bit weird, just let them be..for me, those persons are coward, they are not brave enough just like we are. That’s why; they never say even a single word. See the facts, they are not good, believe it…

Fact : you not the only one who make mistake, even well known persons that always caught in the television pronoun the words incorrectly..did you ever notice about it?hehe

If your words sound like Kedahan accent, or Kelantanese accent or Sarawakian accent or maybe ‘JOWO’, just be proud of yourself cause at least you try something new.. Practice make perfect right guys..at the ends, you won’t have problems with grammar, accent, vocabulary and pronunciation.

So, friends..let’s begin new chapter of our life with this world wide language (then we can go on with third or fourth language)

Wake up MALAYS..show them, that we can stand on our own..we are good just like them and we could be much better.

But remember how to pronounce Bahasa Malaysia correctly, stop all the british accent or whatever accent(it’s ok if it’s your state accent-we born with that)  when deal with your mother tongue  language..shame on you if you still done that.. Martabatkan Bahasa Kita..

Problems among the Malays:

A : tu tengok dia tu..dok belagak cakap orang puteh macam baguih sangat..meluat aku. Bukannya  betui sangat pun dia cakap tu nak menunjuk ja.

B : tu la no..buat pa nak cakap bahasa penjajah bahasa melayu dah la

C : awat la ampa dua ni sebok sangat..baguih la dia cakap orang puteh,nanti senang sikit nak sambung belajaq nak qeja..ampa boleh ka? Bukannya dia dah tak tau cakap melayu.

Hey!! One more things, stop underestimate my buddies, they’re trying to improve their self..it’s annoying with those envy eyes..(apa tengok-tengok..kami tak da hutang ngan hampa pun..biaq la kami nak cakap orang puteh pun..jangan dok jeles sangat na..kalau nak join jom la..kita sama-sama belajaq..bukan kami nak menunjuk tapi kami nak belajaq..menuntut ilmu biaq sampai ke negeri cina..kami nak majukan bangsa ja dan tak mau bergantung kat orang lain)

Ok..got to go..need to search my BEFF and Mr Google more about English..yeay..
